Start a Recovery Ministry in Your Church
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Let's build a recovery ministry together.
Starting a recovery ministry can be difficult when you don't know where to begin. Recovery Alliance Mansfield comes alongside churches to help pastors and ministry leaders understand recovery, develop leaders, establish healthy ministry practices, and build a recovery ministry that fits their church and community.
Rev. Kenneth E. Young, LCDC-II, brings more than 10 years of ministry experience and approximately 10 years of experience serving individuals and families affected by addiction. As a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II, he combines professional knowledge with hands-on recovery ministry, discipleship, and leadership development.
From Vision to Ministry
1. Discover
We begin by learning about your church, your community, your leadership team, and the people you hope to serve. Together, we identify your church's strengths, needs, and readiness for recovery ministry and begin developing a plan that fits your congregation and community.
2. Prepare
We help your church establish a clear vision, identify ministry leaders, define roles, and prepare the foundation needed to serve people affected by addiction and their families.
3. Train
Your ministry team receives practical training in recovery ministry, discipleship, boundaries, healthy group leadership, and responding appropriately to the needs of individuals and families
4. Build
Together, we develop the ministry structure, choose the right curriculum and resources, establish ministry practices, and prepare your team to begin serving.
5. Launch
We help your church move from preparation to action—opening the ministry, welcoming participants, establishing groups, and beginning the recovery journey together.
6. Develop
Recovery ministry doesn't end when the doors open. We continue helping your team strengthen leadership, evaluate what is working, address challenges, and develop a sustainable ministry.
The curriculum serves the ministry.
The ministry does not exist to sell a curriculum.
